Dear Friends,
It’s campaign time again! I am running for the open NC 119 House seat and looking forward to the opportunity of representing Western North Carolina once again in the Legislature. I need your help, first to win the May 8th primary, and then the general election November 6th.
The NC House 119 includes Jackson and Swain Counties as well as part of Haywood County, and has been served by Representative Phil Haire, who is retiring at the end of the year.
I was honored to represent the 47th NC Senate district for 3 terms and had planned run again. But due to redistricting, Haywood County was moved out of the 47th and into the 50th Senate district, which placed me in the same district as my longtime Senate colleague, John Snow. I fully support John Snow’s candidacy for the Senate and will work to re-elect him and Ray Rapp. Ray has the rest of Haywood County in his NC House district.
I appreciate your support in years past and invite you to join me again as we kick off the Campaign on March 1st from 5 to 6:30 pm at 58 Pigeon Street in Waynesville, “the old Palmer House”. This will be our Campaign Headquarters for the 2012 election.
This is a big year, and there are many ways to get involved. I hope you’ll consider joining our team!
But most of all, please be sure to vote and encourage others to vote for Joe Sam Queen in the May 8th primary …
Thank you,

P.S. Mark your calendars to attend your 2012 Democrat Precinct
Organizational Meeting. It will be held at your voting place at 6 pm, Tues. March 6th.
